I got these pants from the clinic where I used to work, back when my shift officially ended at 7 but somehow I kept clocking out after 9 almost every night. We were always short-staffed, so I’d stay late, pick up extra tasks, and basically run around putting out fires while management pretended everything was “under control.” Some male doctors talked down to nurses like we were assistants instead of licensed professionals with real degrees and certifications, which honestly wore me down over time.
Eventually I had enough, handed in my resignation, and moved on to a job with reasonable hours and actual respect. Now I still wear these same pants to yoga and casual days out. They stretch well, feel comfortable, and don’t scream “medical uniform” at all. Kind of funny how something tied to a stressful chapter ended up sticking around for a better one...
