My old Dickies jacket got partially burned when I leaned too close to a welding spark on site one second of distraction and the sleeve was already melted and smelling like plastic. Tried to keep wearing it for a while, but it looked rough and honestly felt unsafe, like it could give up any minute. Ended up replacing it with this jacket and I don’t regret it at all. The fabric feels much tougher, holds up better against sparks, dust, and rough work, and doesn’t feel flimsy like the old one. It blocks wind well, handles light rain without soaking through, and still looks decent after long shifts. Should’ve switched earlier instead of trying to save that half-burnt jacket.
